Job Purpose:
The Electrician will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, wiring, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This includes ensuring compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and delivering high-quality installations for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Wiring
– Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components.
– Perform AC/DC wiring and connect systems to the main electrical supply.
– Ensure proper grounding and protection systems are in place.
2. Testing & Commissioning
– Conduct electrical tests to verify system performance and safety.
– Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
– Complete commissioning reports and handover documentation.
3. Compliance & Safety
– Adhere to national electrical codes and renewable energy standards.
– Follow health and safety protocols on-site.
– Maintain accurate records of work performed.
4. Maintenance & Support
– Provide after-installation support and maintenance services.
– Diagnose and repair faults in solar PV systems.
5. Collaboration
– Work closely with other team members and management.
– Communicate effectively with clients during installation.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Qualified Electrician with recognized certification.
– Experience in solar PV installation (minimum 2 years preferred).
– Knowledge of AC/DC systems, inverters, and battery storage.
– Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
– Valid electrical license and up-to-date training in renewable energy systems.
